Autumn in New Zealand

Living on the North Island of New Zealand means we don't get the clear definition of summer/autumn that many northern hemisphere people do. That is something I miss about my native England, the beautiful spectacle of the red and gold’s of autumn, we have a temperate climate and we are blessed with the lush greens of a semi tropical island with the odd deciduous tree here and there. Our South Island is much more akin to the northern hemisphere, Christchurch is a beautiful city in the fall and also Greymouth, they also get heavy snow - brrrr, that's when I'm glad I live in Auckland.

These photos were taken at Waiheke Island in May, just into our Autumn at the Auckland Waiheke Island Retreat Crop. As you can see, still very green but with the rosy glow of sun set.
